  12. The TH-251A is very similar to the TH-225A.  The following TH-215A mod
  13. has been tested on the TH-225A and seems to work, thanks Steve(W9OMX).

  25. KENWOOD TH-215A handheld transceiver out-of-band modification:

  27. 1.  Remove two screws from belt clip

  29. 2.  Remove 4 screws from back of radio

  31. 3.  Slide front assembly off

  63.     both _F_ key and _ENTER_ key.

  67. DISCLAIMER:  I do not own a TH-215A and have not verified the above
  68. information.  Hopefully, the modified frequency range includes 162 MHz
  69. weather-broadcast freqs.  Remember, it is ILLEGAL to transmit outside
  70. the ham band with non-FCC-type-accepted equipment, even if you are
  71. licensed to use such frequencies.
